Trade account terms
These terms apply to approved trade (credit) accounts, in addition to our Terms of sale. Trade accounts are for businesses only.
1. Applying and approval
Accounts are opened through our account application and approved at our discretion. We may run credit and identity checks, and we may decline an application without giving a reason.
2. Credit limit and terms
We set your credit limit and payment terms (30 days from the end of the month of invoice) and may review them at any time. Orders that would exceed your limit may be held until payment is received.
3. Paying on time
Invoices must be paid in full by the due date. On late payment we may charge statutory interest and fixed compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. When we may suspend credit or close the account
We may reduce your credit limit, put the account on hold, take payment up front for new orders, or close the account, if:
- payments are late or the credit limit is exceeded;
- the account is misused, for example orders placed without authority, unusual ordering, or parts diverted to unknown addresses;
- we have concerns about your business’s finances or insolvency;
- information given to us is false or out of date;
- these terms or our Terms of sale are broken.
Where reasonable we will give notice first; for misuse, fraud or serious arrears we may act immediately. On closure, all outstanding balances become due at once.
5. Users and logins
Each trade account can have up to two website logins. You are responsible for orders placed through logins on your account. Tell us straight away when a user leaves so we can remove their access.
6. Vehicle lookups
Registration and VIN lookups are for finding parts for vehicles you operate or maintain, within a fair-use daily limit.
